The materials for in-film labels mainly include PE, PP and PE+PP. These materials differ in density, stiffness, adhesive composition, melting point and thickness, and are suitable for different blowing equipment and process conditions.
Material properties
PE (polyethylene): PE material has good flexibility and chemical resistance, and is suitable for various blowing equipment, but is easy to deform at high temperatures.
PP (polypropylene): PP material has high rigidity and heat resistance, and is suitable for blowing processes that require high temperature and pressure.
PE+PP copolymer: This material combines the advantages of PE and PP, has good flexibility and high rigidity, and is suitable for a variety of blowing equipment.
Structural hierarchy
In-film labels are usually divided into three layers:
Printable layer: Accepts ink to form color graphics.
Main layer: Supports the printable layer, provides sufficient stiffness and transparency, and ensures accurate overprinting.
Hot melt adhesive layer: melts under high temperature to firmly bond the label to the plastic container.
